Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the ClimaAI mobile applications and the ClimaAI service. By using the app you agree to them. They are short because the deal is simple: the app is free, and weather forecasts are predictions.
1. The service
ClimaAI shows weather forecasts assembled from multiple public data sources, along with a readout of how much those sources agree. The app is free of charge, contains no advertising, and requires no account. An optional account exists solely to sync your saved locations and preferences.
2. Forecasts are not guarantees
Weather data is inherently uncertain. ClimaAI shows you a confidence rating precisely because forecast models disagree. Do not rely on the app as your only source of information for decisions where weather poses a risk to life, health, or property — aviation, marine navigation, severe-storm response, and similar. Always consult official warnings from your national weather authority.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Data sources may be delayed, unavailable, or wrong; coverage varies by region (for example, pollen data covers Europe only).
3. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (how); deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe or overload its infrastructure, scrape it at abusive volume, or use it to violate any law. We may suspend or terminate access that does so.
5. Third-party data and attribution
Weather, radar, and geocoding data come from third-party providers, including Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), MET Norway, the US National Weather Service, RainViewer, and Nominatim / © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Their data remains subject to their own licences and terms. Attribution is shown in the app's Settings screen.
6. Intellectual property
The ClimaAI apps, service, and branding are the property of the ClimaAI project. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices. Third-party data credited above belongs to its respective providers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClimaAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on forecast information. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service — which is zero.
8. Changes to the service or terms
We may change or discontinue features, or update these terms. Material changes will be posted at this address with an updated date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
